the climb

Conquered Rough Butt Bald yesterday. It was a tiring hike that seemed like much farther than 9 miles, so I'm calling it 11. It probably didn't help that when we got to the end of our hike, Denise (who's car was parked at the end of the trail) realized that she had left her keys in the car parked at the beginning of the trail, 9 (or 11) miles back! But thanks to the kindness of strangers we got a ride to the other car and didn't have to retrace our steps and the last 5 hours.
